Texas Country Wedding
Krista and Matthew had a wonderful East Texas country wedding in Wills Point. Shades of purple (the bride’s favorite color) were seen throughout both the ceremony and reception, which was the perfect accent for all the natural green spring of the countryside. While the couple mostly used the natural beauty of the country, they added flowers, arches, lights, and homemade decorations throughout the ceremony and reception site. Some people noticed all the little Pinterest-like details and some people didn’t, but everyone had a great time.
The ceremony started in the late afternoon after a full day of everyone primping and prepping so they looked their best. Krista looked beautiful in a lacy, mermaid gown as she walked down the aisle with her father. A lot of smiles, a bit of laughter, and a few tears of joy during the ceremony as the couple exchanged traditional vows and were declared man and wife. After a taking a few picture of Krista and Matthew after the ceremony to commemorate the first moments of their marriage, everyone moved to the reception area to celebrate.
The reception took place under the bright Texas stars. Following light hors d’oeuvres, the couple and their guests moved right onto the dance floor. A mix of modern country music and some old school favorites, there was a lot of line dancing by the bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, as well as the couple’s family and friends. For a quick change of pace, everyone took a break from the country music to dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” After cutting the cake, toasts by the maid of honor and best man, then tossing the bouquet and garter, the couple left in a shower of flower petals to begin their new life together.
