Day After Portrait Session at Texas Hall, The Trinity Institute in Tehuacana, Texas
Occasionally a couple will prefer to do their wedding portraits on what is called a “day after session.” This means they schedule a portrait session a day shortly after their wedding. This allows us to have more time to create some incredible portraits and it also allows the bride and groom to have their portraits made at location other than their wedding venue.
Jhodig and Lara decided to book a day after session with me, mainly because they wanted their portrait done in a beautiful abandoned university from the late 1800’s that is available to rent for photo shoots.
The abandoned building called Texas Hall is located in Tehuacana, Texas, which about an hour and half drive south of Dallas. The university building is the original location of Trinity University which is now located in San Antonio.
Because of the uniqueness of the building and the full library still present, we were able to make some gorgeous portraits of them in there. The broken windows, empty rooms, random pieces of furniture, old fashion window frames, all contributed the amazing photos.
